Setting up a Cobblemon server (Pokémon in Minecraft)
Cobblemon adds Pokémon to Minecraft: catching, battling, training — all in multiplayer. Here's how to launch a dedicated Cobblemon server in a few minutes, with nothing to configure.
1. Grab the modpack link
Cobblemon and its modpacks (Cobblemon Official, spin-off packs) are available on Modrinth and CurseForge. Copy the URL of the pack page you want (e.g. modrinth.com/modpack/...).
2. Create the server
When you create a Minecraft server, paste the link into the Modpack field. The loader and the version are handled automatically by the pack — nothing to install by hand.
3. Choose the RAM
Cobblemon stays reasonable, but a multiplayer server with plenty of exploration deserves some headroom:
- Small group: 8 GB.
- Large Cobblemon pack + add-ons or many players: 16 GB, or even the dedicated CPU tier to stay smooth.
You choose the RAM and the performance at creation; the price adjusts by the hour.
4. Invite your friends
Share the connection address shown in your console. Everyone installs the same Cobblemon pack on their client, adds the server, and you play together.
5. Shut down when you're done
Server off = €0. Your Cobblemon world (caught Pokémon, bases) is saved and restored for your next session.
Create your Minecraft server and paste in the Cobblemon link. Your first game is free.
