Install a Minecraft modpack on your server
A modpack transforms your Minecraft game: new mods, dimensions, mechanics. On TickServ, launching a modded server takes just a few minutes — without touching a single configuration file.
1. Choose your modpack
Two platforms cover the vast majority of modpacks:
- Modrinth — copy the modpack URL (e.g.
modrinth.com/modpack/cobblemon). - CurseForge — copy the modpack page URL (
curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/...).
2. Create the server
When you create a Minecraft server, paste the modpack link into the Modpack field. TickServ downloads and installs the pack on the first startup: the loader (Forge, Fabric, NeoForge…) and the version are handled automatically by the pack.
3. Choose the RAM
Modpacks are hungrier than vanilla Minecraft. Our recommendation:
- Small pack (a few dozen mods): 8 GB.
- Large pack (100+ mods, heavy exploration): 16 GB, or the dedicated CPU tier for stable performance.
You choose the RAM and the performance at creation — the price adjusts accordingly, billed by the hour.
4. Invite your friends
Once the server is up, you get a stable connection address. Share it with your friends: they add the server in Minecraft and join your game. Remember to tell them to install the same modpack on their client.
5. Shut it down when you're done
Stop the server in one click: you pay nothing more (€0 while the server is off). Your modded world is saved and restored for your next session.
Ready? Create your Minecraft server and paste in your modpack.
